With Andrew Cobden, Managing Director, Vastint UK

Valli van Zijil, Regeneration Manager, Vastint UK

and Alex Harvie, Marketing Manager, Vastint UK

Sugar House Island is the first major London scheme for European developer Vastint. This 26-acre mixed use waterside development in Stratford has a GDV of £1bn and creates a new quarter bordering the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Sugar House Island will comprise over 624,000 sq ft of office space and 1,200 homes, in addition to extensive new public realm, including a .75ha riverside park. There will also be restaurants, cafes and shops, a 2 form-entry primary school and a 350-bed hotel.

Sugar House Island is designed by nine different architects to introduce variation into the look and feel of the buildings and to provide a thoughtfully-designed public realm. The scheme is relatively low rise for this area of London. It is adjacent to a Grade I listed tidal mill and includes three new bridges to cross the extensive waterways improving connectivity to the surrounding neighbourhoods and open spaces. The first offices will be leased later this year with residential sales commencing next year.

Tickets are £40 (+VAT) for Profile members and £55 (+VAT) for non-members. Includes buffet lunch and optional site tours. Nearest tubes Pudding Mill Lane, Bromley-by-Bow or Stratford.
