Media Briefing Breakfast with City AM « all news

14th March 2016

This month Profile interviewed Kasmira Jefford, the Property, Retail and Consumer Correspondent for City AM and Online Editor Emma Haslett, as part of its Media Briefing Breakfast series of events.

Attendees were surprised that City AM’s influence extends far wider than the Square Mile and its second biggest readership is from the US – so although focussed on the City it definitely has a global reach. It aims to bridge the ‘gap between the FT and the Sun.’

City AM produces four different property sections: the newspaper itself, online content, the fortnightly Hot Property supplement and a glossy magazine, Bespoke Living. The newspaper will cover property every day, with 6-7 property related stories featured online daily, ensuring the editorial team is kept busy. Priority is always given to key schemes/ stories in central London and sky scrapers always prove very popular.

Useful tips for PR’s included: try to send releases the day before with an embargo, think of relevant images and never call after 4pm!

There are several exciting changes happening at City AM this year, including a new website to be launched shortly. A huge thank you to Kasmira and Emma for giving us a really useful insight into the editorial team and thank you to Billfinger GVA for sponsoring the event and the very tasty bacon sandwiches.
